Corpse Flower

I love carnivorous plants. Particularly of fascination to me is the stinky Corpse Flower. One recently bloomed here in Southern California at the Huntington gardens and, of course, I was out of town when it happened.

I chose a Venus-inspired portrait for the figure.

The painting will be available at the group show at Jonathan Levine gallery on August 5th.

That is so beautiful! I think one of those Corpse flowers bloomed in a city near us recently, too.
