I did a photo shoot last weekend for reference on a couple painting ideas I had for my show in October at Roq La Rue. My sweet and adorable model, Bela, was kind enough to allow me 500+ pictures! I don't even know how I took so many in half an hour. This is the first time I've taken reference pictures so we'll see what happens.

Ara's pictures are way better than mine so I will just post his.

Pretty Wax Ladies

I have been in love with this blog, particularly because they've posted some amazing anatomical wax figures. There's something about the translucence of the wax that makes the skin look alive. Aaah I love these pictures!

Recently, I let the band Bunnycutz use one of my older paintings for their new cd cover. Today, I got a surprise package (yay!) full of cd samples! I think the colors and layout they chose came out lovely.

I am giving away three of the cd's, each signed (by me, not the band) and each come with a different drawing on the back. The drawings are of a baby squid, dragonfly, and hungry bird.

Keep in mind the drawings in my flickr account are not a complete record. I didn't even know how many I had done, since I didn't set a goal. However, I've scanned them all and I just checked the number of files I have! I'll leave the contest up for a couple days.
